♥♥♥♥♥♥ 6 fairy dust

I just want you all to know, I am still here, alive, kicking and exhausted. As of the moment, I can no longer work on my wip or have a new start. Everything is all packed up waiting to see the light of day.

My stitchings were the last ones to be packed so I still had the chance to carry on a few of my wip last month. Although I couldn't find my Beloved, CIA and Elements, I did stitch up Sunshine and Flowers, Japanese Garden, and new projects.

I have my thumb drive (where I keep my photo creations intact) with me so thought it would be nice to update you of what I have accomplished while I'm on a no-blogging-mode.

I know I have not mentioned on my previous posts, I started a new project in April as soon as I have made the fabric for it. It's Hands to Work "This is the Day" published in Just CrossStitch Feb 2009. I did change some of the colors 'coz I didn't like the ones on the chart. Stitched on JdJ Golden Treasure 32ct linen, much lighter than the fabric on the model photo, so floss colors need to be replaced. Floss used are all in DMC with one variegated floss. It's very lovely, but I don't know why I kept setting it aside. I started it in April and only finished it in June, see I kept procrastinating it. Anyways, here it is in all its glory,

Another one which I've finished after 4 nights of burning the midnight oil. A fast and delightful stitch, La-D-Da "Live Laugh Love". I like it so much!! Stitched on JdJ Antique Charm 28ct, using DMC floss. I've changed the floss colors to the ones I prefer.

I have also started Just Nan "Sirens of the Sea" on June 20. It's so pretty!!!! I love all the details in it. It's a joyful stitch, and colorful as well. It really makes me look forward to our vacation in the Philippines' last frontier Palawan in August. After 2 nights, here's what I've stitched so far,

I'm stitching on JdJ Calm Twilight 28ct. This chart has a lot of 1 over 1. Just look at the fishes, it's so lovely, isn't it? I always enjoy doing 1 over 1 so no problem on my end. To make some of the backstitches more visible, I used darker floss colors in place of the ones required, that's the only change I've made on it so far. Looking at the photo makes me want to continue stitching it but then no idea when I'll have the time.

On my large project wip, first off is Japanese Garden. I have stitched some of the rock gardens and the bonsai trees. Since my RG PB threads had arrived, I had also worked the clouds and the waves and other backstitches.

And lastly, my fave, Sunshine and Flowers. I'm pretty much close to completion. Done with the hardanger border and bottom trellises and the corner knots. The only thing left to do is the hardanger Garden Trellis section (the empty square with the climbing roses). I have two options for it, but I have yet to decide which one I like. I used silk ribbons, peach and maroon, for a couple of spider web roses. I have replaced the lady with a fairy, and I must say, I like it so much. I'm so pleased with the result.

That's all for now. Sad to say, this is my last post for this month and probably for the next month/s. But I will update you as soon as I can.

So far, I've finished stitching the pieces for my up coming give away draw. I have in mind what the finishing will be, but it will have to wait. I need to organize my stuff first in the place so please bear with me.

If you are interested with the floss colors I used on This is the Day and Live Laugh Love samplers, feel free to ask me. I'll be happy to share it with you.

Thank you for dropping by and for the comments. I appreciate it so much.

Until then, ciao.

Keep the love alive,

♥♥♥♥♥♥ 8 fairy dust

I had received a lovely gift last week from my dear friend Domy. She emailed me beforehand and told me that a parcel for me is on its way. I can't wait to see it as I know she is such a talented and creative person, and a pro-finisher. OMG, just what I expected, I love everything she made for me. If I have to describe her pressies in one word, then it's "PERFECT"!! I like them all so much.

She knew what my likes are, she made a lovely bag, a cartonnage "sewing case", a Lili Points chart, and other goodies. I've tasted the tea called Pacific Star and the biscuits also in the parcel and both taste really good!

The Lili Point chart is "Chocolate", the English version. I am excited to start with it.

She also added a floss which has a very nice color variations in it. She spoiled me big time! hehehe...

The "Sewing Case" she made is so pretty, very well done. She used a blue fabric (my fave color), every detail is just fab!

As you can see in the photo, there are threads, a pair of scissors, a needleminder and a fabric. Wonder what those threads and fabric are for? She's very nice and generous, she kitted the "Chocolate" chart for me. As what she mentioned in her message in the card, "All you have to do is stitch". YES, exactly!! How very nice of her!

I equally like the shoulder bag she made especially for me. She said it's a last minute gift, she really is a PRO as it is absolutely lovely.

I'm now a proud owner of all these beauties. I will definitely treasure it. Merci beaucoup, Domy!!!! I'm deeply grateful. I knew all these were made with love, I appreciate it so much.

On stitching side, I don't have any progress on my WIP. But I have prepared a small gift for Nicole. She emailed me last week, and informed me that it had safely arrived. As you might have already read on my previous post, she sent me a lovely Chatelaine chart. To show how delighted and thankful I am for her gift, I made a Floss Keeper/Tag and a humbug scissorfob .

This humbug scissorfob was my second finish for this design. I've designed it last year and called it "Blooming Roses", and first finished it as a biscornu scissorfob but I only stitched the roses. You can see a photo of my finish of this chart as a biscornu scissorfob here.

If I'm not mistaken, I think I forgot to share this chart "Blooming Roses" with you. So here it is, click the picture to download it.

Also last week, I received an award from Maria for "Virtual Friendship and information sharing!" Thanks so much Maria.

I'm passing this award to Carla. Eventhough she doesn't know me, and had just came across my blog and shop just recently, she trusted me and my work and purchased a Flosskeeper/tag. Thank you so much Carla!

Keep breathing LOVE....
