♥♥♥♥♥♥

Sorry for no post for a while and MIA, been really busy lately. I'm doing well and good, thank you dear friends for the emails asking me how I am, for the concerns and well wishes. I appreciate it so much.

I couldn't let this wonderful fabric exchange with my friend Nina pass without sharing with you the joy I felt having all the beauties right in front of me. A couple of months ago, Nina and I decided to have a fabric exchange. She wanted some linen fabrics and I wanted some French fabrics (which I can't find here) especially some toiles. You know I love toile very much.

Look at all these lovely fabrics she sent me, I love it!!! She really is a sweetheart. I'm so happy and grateful, teehee!!

French Fabrics

Patchwork Fabrics

That's not all. Remember the pochette and citrouille pincushion she made for me, told you I like the fabric she used. She sent me that lovely fabric too, yehey!! Along with it is a soap and some Christmas ornies. Oh wow, from the bottom of my heart, thank you thank you so much Nina.

I know it's her birthday in December (advance happy birthday to you!!) so I prepared something and sent it together with my exchange fabrics. I've stitched Ewe & Eye & Friends "In The Pink" and finished it off as a mattress pincushion.

I intended to make it double purpose, not only a pincushion but also a scissors case so I placed a small pocket on the back with a contrasting fabric for the backing to give emphasis of the opening.

Took out the big heart from the design, stitched it and made it into a scissor fob. Oh, I love the result.

So nice to know she likes it too.

___________
All things beautiful asked if the colors in my Rose Sampler was original or adapted. It was inspired by my angel needleminder. I wanted to use the fabric that I already had in my stash and since it's a big sampler, Hardanger fabric will be great for it (over 1). I have Antique Blue which is really a very lovely color. At first I thought of using navy blue thread (DMC3750) as the main color but then changed my mind and so I finally came up with the use of white thread (as that of the needleminder) and made some floss toss for the 2 thread colors neeeded to match the fabric. Since the model calls for white fabric I cannot use the 2 grayish threads required which serve as shadow of the lace on top. After a few tosses, fortunately I found the perfect match for the fabric that will give the illusion of shadow on such fabric (DMC932 and DMC931) and tada.....
Btw, thanks a lot All things beautiful for the compliments.
Thanks also for all the fairy dust you all left, it truly made my day.

Have a nice and safe day everyone. TFL!!
