♥♥♥♥♥♥

I got an award from my dear friend Nina last week. I wanted to post it as soon as she told me about it but I really cannot squeeze it in between my busy schedules. It's a Special Friends Award and Love Pendant.

The description for this award,
"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these kind of writers. When you pass this award along please include these guidelines. I am to choose eight friends to share this with".

I only have a few very good friends who have blogs and so I will have to break the rule, I'm choosing less than 8. I'm giving this award to my loving, beautiful and true friends,
1. Noreen
2. Jessie
3. Cathy
4. Domy
This goes back at you Nina. Thank you so much. It's my honor to receive such an award. Cheers!!

On stitching side, I know I'm in a slump since my last long vacation but I'm trying to at least stitch a few to catch up especially on my SAL. I currently have only one SAL, Beloved, which started late last year.

Here's a photo of my progress on Beloved SAL. So nice to finally catch up, yehey!!

You can check out our photos HERE.

Starting this month I'll have another one, a private SAL with 2 of my friends, Permin of Copenhagen - Christmas In Town. I had my fabric and threads ready, hopefully I can start it this week.

As for my handful WIP, I was able to work on my Lan Roses Triptych this last weekend. I did finish all the cross stitches, just a few backstitches and it'll be over. But not just yet, I still have one last panel to stitch. I decided to work on it first and then continue with my other WIP only when I finished it.

I have started my botak (bald) fairy, lol!, Classic Embroidery "Jolly" and here's how it looks so far,

I have to work on my new SAL this week so she has to wait and remain the fairy with half a body and no wings, poor botak, oops Jolly, lol.

I had a couple of finishes for this year and the very first one was a birthday gift for Jes in February. I made a Maryse Le Plateau de la Brodeuse cum stitcher's wallet. I've stitched the same chart for the second time and used a different fabric and ribbon. The first one was also a gift for sis Noreen.

Here's the photo of the 2nd version,

Remember the Toile de Jouy I've stitched last year and the fabric exchange with Nina? I made a Stitcher's Keeper using two coordinating fabrics from the exchange to match the stitched piece.

I'm leaving you with my Tarot Card test result I tried yesterday. You might wanna give it a try too.

You are The Empress

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents, beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.

What Tarot Card are You?Take the Test to Find Out.

TFL. And have a very nice day.

Hi Joei, I can't find an email for you so I'm replying to your comment on my blog here! I'm sorry but I no longer have Bygone Stitches A Quaker Christmas as I sold it as soon I'd finished it.
