♥♥♥♥♥♥ 6 angel's blush

  • Q&A

  • "Thank you Moni for your nice comment on my Beloved. I'm stitching on Jardin de Joy Mondial 28ct Lugana."

I'd like to thank everyone who participated in my poll and shared their views. I appreciate it so much. All the while I thought I was the only one left in this modern world who would rather keep whatever gifts received for purely sentimental reasons. Result of this poll had proven me wrong, I was not alone. Now I know, that the 17 out 38, we seemed to be on the same wavelength.

Nina is having a Blogiversary give-away draw, visit her blog to get a chance to win this lovely give-away. Happy Blogiversary Nina!! Sorry I don't have a picture of my scissors to show. Anyways I only have a few, two of which were gifts from friends (from you and Cathy).

A friend of mine, AJ (no blog) had sent me BC Big Zipper Border Kit. She thought I still am wishing for it so she sent me one. I had not told her I already bought it last year, I forgot, old me, hehehe! I was so busy that time and was on a long vacation as well.

So I'm selling the one I bought (I will of course keep AJ's gift).

    Price: USD30.00 plus S&H: USD5.00

The Big Zipper Border kit comes packaged in a 10 x 14 Mesh Bag and includes the pattern for the border and the first design - Love Grows, a large cut of 18 count linen to stitch the entire project, all floss & embellishments to stitch the border & Love Grows.

This kit retailed at $68.00 so my price is for less than half of the original price. It is still in the Mesh Bag and has never been used. Everything is included to make the first chart. Please drop me a note if you are interested.

On stitching note, here's my progress report.

Permin "Christmas In Town - SAL" 3

I've completed the bakeshop and will move on to the next shop, the Toys Shop on the right. It's coming along very nicely and I like it.

    Stitcher's Hands "Beloved-SAL"

As scheduled, I have stitched the cherub on the right and the borders on both sides.

Papillon "Castles in the Air MS-SAL"
Part 1: The Formal Garden "In our hectic lives we all need a place where peace and order reign."

I had so much fun stitching it!! I'm very pleased with the result. I decided to use DMC threads this time and Jewel Effects Golden Dawn. The metallic thread matches the colors and gives a very nice sparkle to it. I'll decide on the 2 colors of the beads to use at a later time. Part 2 is already out, I've just received it yesterday. I'm excited to carry on with it.

Look what I got in the mail this last Sunday, yahoo!! I know this Anagram Diffusion Sampler Elements chart before but didn't realize how lovely it is until I saw Rachel's stitched piece. Her stitching was simply beautiful. I got so jealous looking at her photos, so I ask her if I can buy her chart. She's so nice and let me buy it. She even sent me a card with a photo of Marjolein Bastin's Bouquet of Roses. You're such a darling Rachel, thanks.

    ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 8 angel's blush

First off, I am selling used LHN Coffee and Tea threadpacks. Charts are as good as new, I assure you of that as I always have working copies. It has left over silk threads which I think will be enough to complete it, I guess, I'm not sure though. Drop me a note if you are interested.

    SOLD

Each chart is USD6.00 (price includes shipping)

On stitching note, here are my latest progress.

    Beloved-SAL

Never a dull moment on this one, it's such a pleasure to stitch. Plus, I'm lucky enough Mr. Frog hasn't visit me yet. It's really hard to rip on over 1, silk floss frayed from ripping so it's down the drain. Please Mr. frog don't ever think about it and take my luck away, lol!

    Christmas in Town-SAL 2

Another delight to stitch. I will modify some in the chart. It originally calls for white fabric, as you can see I am using a fabric with 2 colors, half and half, so I am adding some stitches on the top of each shop which depict snow and use an additional metallic thread. You will see it as I go about it and show you my progress. Additional work, yes I know, but it will definitely make it look nicer (that's what I always put in my mind to go for it).

I have a couple of HD, so come dance with me, waahooo!!! Can you feel it, I'm jumping up and down, head banging and wiggling bum, lol!

Blackbird Designs 2008 Mystery Bonus Sampler

I enjoyed stitching this one so much. The final part is so nice. It has eyelets and lazy daisy which I enjoyed stitching.

    Lanarte Roses Triptych

This is Panel 1. Isn't it lovely? For the record, I was fast on this one, lol! I've completed the backstitches in one sitting. My motivation was that I know it's about time to finish it. Too lovely to not see the light of day.

All 3 Panels in its glory.

I told you about Papillon Creations SAL for this year on my last post, and said I'll participate at a later date. Well, I've changed my mind. I have kitted it up and will start next week. I cannot resist the itch, new start bug hit me so hard, lol!

It has two versions, cross stitch and specialty stitches. If you have followed my Papillon SAL last year, you know already which one I prefer, specialty stitches, that is. Both versions are worked in 21 colors, 11 of which are my choice. I have not decided yet what color of beads and metallic thread to use to compliment my chosen colors.

Have a happy and safe weekend everyone. All the best. TFL!!
